L&G Forest Products’ newest branch is on course to celebrate a successful first year of operation.
The branch, opened in Hayes, Greater London, in January 2016 is supplying timber and sheet materials to construction projects in the local area along with other prestigious projects in the south. These include Reading’s new IKEA store, the Broadmoor Hospital and Westgate centre redevelopments and projects at Oxford University.
Hayes has a large, indoor warehouse facility storing a full range of sheet materials. Its range of imported carcassing timber mirrors the range held at the merchant’s Maidstone headquarters and is complemented by large stocks held at Rochester and Tilbury docks.
Dean Eaves, Sales Manager, says: “As acknowledged experts in our field, customers rely heavily on L&G Forest Products to provide sound product advice on sustainable, peace of mind products delivered to their projects safely, on time and offering great value for money”.
“We are delighted that the guys at Hayes have been able to hit the ground running, proving there is no substitute for experience and expertise. Our customers have said it’s refreshing to trust a new branch to offer the same levels of service they have enjoyed for years at our Maidstone branch”.
As well as supplying the building and construction sector from its two branches, L&G Forest Products imports large volumes of graded carcassing from the Baltic States and plywood from South America. From its terminal at Tilbury Docks, Essex, it distributes stock to Buildbase branches nationwide as well as independent merchants in the South East.
L&G Forest Products has experienced an increase in turnover since being acquired by Grafton Merchanting GB in 2007.
